Thank you to all our CAJLT members who joined us at the CLTA General Meeting for 2026! Take a look at our poster for a report of our meeting! Please join us for our upcoming spring webinar with Yumiko Kawanishi sensei on IATJ会員のUIUC Laboratory High School(イリノイ大学附属高校)の竹山先生によるオンライン研修会のご案内です。 Thank you to all of the amazing Japanese sensei who attended our Annual General Meeting last night at CLTA Sacramento! Megumi Ito-sensei was a winner of an amazing prize at one of the CLTA 2026 raffle drawings! Sensei-gata enjoying the Photo Booth after Session 1! Please join us for dinner and a chance to win a gift card prize! Calling all supporters of Japanese language education! Please stop by to join our CAJLT community to engage in conversations with fellow educators - including sharing brilliant classroom ideas as well as timely concerns for Japanese education. Leave this meeting with a renewed sense of community, take home resources for your teaching, and walk away with a bright smile and a full heart! This event features Mr. Howard Kakita, a Japanese American survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bombing. Alongside his talk, the program will include student presentations and chorus performances, an introduction to the musical Peace on Your Wings (based on a true story of Hiroshima), and an invitation to our thousand paper cranes project. Through these activities, we hope to provide a space for students and community members to reflect together on the question, “How can we achieve a world free from the threat of nuclear weapons?”
