This year, CAJLT, TJSC, and NCJTA are proud to jointly announce the opening of nominations for the 2026 California Teacher of the Year Awards for Japanese Language Professionals.
The three California Japanese language teacher associations have collaborated to create four award categories that recognize exceptional individuals who are working toward or have made significant contributions to Japanese language education.
If you know someone whose dedication, innovation, and impact have inspired students and strengthened our community, we encourage you to submit a nomination.
This year’s awards are designed to be inclusive, celebrating a broad range of Japanese language teachers and supporters. We look forward to receiving many nominations!
